USF supports the LGBTQ+ community with programs and services
USF hosts a several year-long programs and services to nurture the LGBTQ+ community. Many of the programs are centered around education to help create cultural awareness. The goal is to encourage an inclusive and safe environment where students can develop global perspectives guided by USF’s Principles of Community.

College of Public Health gets its own Living Learning Community
Previously, public health/health sciences majors shared an Living Learning Community (LLC) with nursing students. But with interest in public health at an all-time high (thanks, at least in part, to the COVID-19 pandemic) it became clear that College of Public Health students could sustain their own " Bulls in Health" LLC.

The University of South Florida (USF) Tampa campus has been recognized as a Silver-Level Bicycle Friendly University with an award from the League of American Bicyclists, the premier grassroots advocacy organization encouraging better bicycling and protecting the right of people who bike.

The Jackson Rooming House Remembered and Re-envisioned
The Jackson Rooming House was once a haven for black entertainers, athletes, teachers, clergymen, and visitors to Tampa, Florida. Located a block west of Tampa Union Station along Nebraska Avenue at 835 Zack Street — currently 851 East Zack St. — it is just a short walk east of the once-thriving Central Avenue business and entertainment district that was prominent during the era of Jim Crow racial segregation.
